Normally I would agree with this, but not this year. This team was one of the exceptions with #44 and #3 being 2 of the best players on the field every Friday -if not the best. When you put that with the program and above avg coaching, I’m not sure there was much doubt about them this yr. Yeah, the zebras might get you one game or you could turn it over a handful of times and lose, but barring those situations this team was the favorite. With that said, they stayed out of trouble, avoided big season ending injuries, and accomplished their goal. Congrats to those guys-well deserved.

So you telling me that it just took 2. Um interesting so they blocked, handed the ball off throw the ball, kicked field goals, etc. On defense these 2 made all the tackles, int’s, punt’s, etc. So the team was just 2 player’s interesting

Maybe its something in the smokey mountain spring water they drink? Blount county doesn't have the population of Knox, Williamson, Rutherford,  Memphis area, yet the county still dominates. If you could make it through the off season conditioning the kids put in, you might understand. Heck, you should see the off season "extra" work that one of the dads leads.

That statement is true.

I was close. I said this at the beginning of the year.

Congrats to the  Maryville kids and coaches on a job well done all season and all off season.

Hold on one minute there hoss. No doubt Maryville is a great team, but how soon we forget a 38-0 thumping in late November 2018.

That’s not exactly what I was saying so I’ll try this: lots of kids can do many of those things you describe (except maybe kick) but very few are the best players on the field regardless of who you play. Murvil had two of those players this year along with the kids who block, throw it, kick it, etc.

But that still doesn’t take away from the teams accomplishments. Sometimes it’s harder to win them all when you are supposed to. Congrats to all involved.
