uofl
Coach Craney wants the job so I think that is where they go. If you go anywhere else the kids will be devastated and then Craney also leaves as well so that makes it 2 coaches gone.
madhatter2269
if it is a Craney, and most are in agreement that it should and will be, I’m wondering who he will make as his OC. Losing rosser hurts bc he was the main play caller on that side of the ball.
DragonFan12
If a big name coach comes along with a lot of success as a head coach already, I would have to think they would give him a serious look.

I agree but you already got a big name coach in the building in Craney everything that Rosser did will be done by Craney as well. The key is like someone said is who can he get to run his offense but as recent years have shown he just needs a guy that want be careless with the ball as he has that defense playing lights out

That said, however, in Knox County you never know what is going to happen. System politics and decision makers who don't understand what is important to the communities often get in the way and do the unexpected it's not just the choice of the Principal and AD. And I hope for the community that Coach Craney is the choice when all is said and done. He's a very good young coach, and from all accounts a guy who cares about his players in the same manner as did Bryson.

The difference with this being Knox county is that Craney works already at Central all that has to be done is for the AD to recommend him. The county doesn’t have control over that when he is already an employee its when the guy is coming from outside of the county where they tend to do all that. Teaching and coaching are 2 different jobs. Proper protocol has to be followed and the powers that be in the central office do have to approve the move. Like I said, in the end I hope it's his job, but it's far from an automatic. I'm sure the AD wishes it were that easy.

Yeah I don't think it's as simple as that. My understanding is that KCS still has to approve it. Craney should get it, but stranger things have happened.

chsbobcat09
I’ve pretty much known for about a week it was gonna be Coach Craney. Couple of great candidates applied for it, but in the end it was the correct choice to make Craney the HC. Excited to get to work alongside him as I did coach Rosser. It’s a great day to be a Bobcat!
