Does HDon have cakewalk to # 1 in that district or are their anybody to challenge them ( even remotely )

They got McKenzie and that is it. West Carrol, Big Sandy, Bruceton and Clarksburg just not going to beat them. West Carrol is the best of that bunch besides McKenzie. McKenzie is scrappy and could play with them a half or so but I don’t think they challenge them.

That crow don’t taste that good / Loretto fed it to them last year and it was hard to swoller

I agree. Any thing can happen up there. Greenfield will likely be undefeated up there. More pressure. Dealing with 15-18 year olds. There will be 7 other teams with a punchers chance and some will be punching hard.

District tournament feb 17-22 at Wayne co

region tournament feb 28-4  hopefully at Lawrence co HS

You got some info, because Region 8 AAA is being played at Lawrence County this year.  I've heard Perry County may be the region spot.

Apparently some are complaining abt travel distance.   I'd like to know who and why it's ok for Loretto&Summertown to travel to Bethel but not return the favor

Never been to Perry Co. HS. Wondered about its seating capacity. It makes the most sense geographically when District 12 hosts. Region has endured two years of massive travel. This region is so widespread it should be held as far north as possible in even years and as far south in odd years. Clarksburg couldn't do it but maybe 11A could work out something with Lexington next year. Just a thought.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
