Upsets abound in this district tournament.  First Oakland beats regular season champ Blackman in Semis then beats what I would consider Favorite Riverdale in Finals. Congrats Oakland , playing well at right time.  Also Stewarts Creek upsets Blackman in consolation game.  What’s up with Blackman?  Any thoughts?

i was wondering the same thing? did someone get hurt ? Or are others peaking at the right time of year?

Oakland came into the championship game with a good game plan and for the most part executed it well. Riverdale lost their starting post about 3 weeks ago to another knee injury. I dont know if Bkackman thought they would not have to play their game during the tournament since they went undefeated during regular season or what but those top 4 teams could play again and I would bet the top 4 seeding would be different again. The competition is just that good between them.

Thanks for the response and that is kinda what I thought when you said there is not much difference in the top four.  Anybody could beat anybody on any given night.

I’m going to say Stewarts Creek and Riverdale are the only ones to advance to the semi’s of the region...

So you think a 9-17 FC team is going to upset Oakland?

If it is as low scoring as championship FC has a good shot.

Dont know about FCs defense but Riverdale was playing some good D on Oakland and Oakland was returning the favor

Should make for another low scoring affair. Wish I could see all the games but unfortunately I have to choose one. WGNS is doing the Blackman game. Any streams for the other games?

I’m trying to be gentle here and not offend my 8AAA people, but if you’re going to see one game, see CC/Blackman. The 7AAA tournament didn’t end the way most thought and could open up a small chance for an upset, but CC is most likely to be competitive and advance.
