NO FOOTBALL THIS FALL IN VIRGINIA

My son lives in the upper Shenandoah Valley a mile from a high school that is close to the West Virginia border.  After this order by Governor Black Face Hypocrite, several of the kids from that high school who play football are trying to find a way to enroll in the closest West Virginia high school, which is about 8 miles from their current school.

Have a feeling we may see kids from the southern border trying to cross in to Tennessee and North Carolina high schools, as well.

This is another reason our governor needs to make a decision soon. If he tries to take away Tennessee players’ senior year the ones with the ability to transfer should have time to transfer someone to play.

Mt. Pilot recruits!

Yeah, but their home stadium is a little hard to access.

(And for those of you unwashed in the world of the Andy Griffith Show, this is Pilot Mountain, which is near Mt. Airy, NC, which is Andy's home town and the town that Mayberry is based on. Pilot Mountain is a rock mountain that pilots literally used as a landmark and guide in the early days of aviation)

This is unbelievable have no other words. 1000's of young men effected. Families scrambling to do what they can for their kids.

Yes, it sucks, but it also sucked last spring for the spring sport athletes who only got to participate in 3 or 4 baseball games or a soccer match or two before their seniors years were zapped, too.  There's nothing "fair" about it, but sometimes life isn't fair, and that's never going to change.

This has happened before with girls basketball.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
