All of  Carter County will be impacted eventually IMO. Which is Hampton , HV, Cloudland and Unaka. Not looking good Yeti

O&B said it stated 2 weeks though for padded practice. May just be out a week of full pad contact and have the game on time?

That is something I have thought about. I hope we dont see a lot injuries for these young men.

Takes a while for the body to get used to that heavy helmet and all the muscle soreness involved with the first month of contact.I remember back when I was in spring practice and you hurt two weeks after that 3 weeks of practice was over!!

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
