I agree %100, it won’t be close. Especially with the defense producing turnovers and playing to the level that they are this early in the season. Throw in that the offense is rolling; Springfield wins big.

Station Camp has a new coach this year. I believe they will be like Springfield when we had our last coaching change, in that we got worse before we got better as Coach Wilson instilled his way. Station Camp will more than likely be similar to us in that regard. Back to the game, I don’t think it will be close. Springfield should win by 2-3 TDs.

So what game will be our first test?  BDP??? Marshall Cty?

Marshall County, hands down. Unless Springfield just absolutely implodes this year or the injury bug hits......no one in the region will touch them. Not to sound to brash it’s just that Springfield didn’t loose as much as everyone else did talent wise. Combine that with the deep playoff experiences plus having one of the best coaching staffs in the state......that’s just the facts of the matter.

So far this team is fun to watch. It’s amazing to watch these kids get better individually each year. It appears that this Jacket team is loaded with talent all over. Im excited about the Soph class at the skill positions.

No disrespect to Station Camp but I just don’t expect much competition for the Jackets this Friday night. I expect to see the backups play a significant amount of snaps. It will be good to get that experience and work in to get better. Also I think the JV team plays the following Monday.

I believe both will test us but in different ways, BDP has a good running tandem between the QB  and RB that I believe will really test our run defense. Marshall Co will be tough all the way around...

Y’all should probably win by 3 or 4 touchdowns at least this week.  Excited to see y’all next week

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
