You just mad Waverly can’t beat Mcewen in any age group. Lol

Definitely not mad. Definitely don’t care. I think JR Pro sports are great. And JR High too. But, wins and losses in JR Pro and JR High don’t translate to wins and losses in High School. And anyone that thinks that has completely loss their mind. Actually, instead of focusing on wins and losses in JR Pro and JR High, daddy’s and other coaches should be focusing on teaching fundamentals. But they don’t. All they care about is the W. So when they get to high school Coaches have to spend all kinds of time teaching fundamentals because they weren’t taught any their entire life.

I will say one thing about you Orange County, you are a dedicated McEwen fan and good on ya. But you act like McEwen is the best team in the state. They had a good year last year, and beat Perry Co this year, only played one game so far. Be humble. The season is long. Your mighty warriors will be tested soon enough by someone. Enjoy the good days. But don’t yap with too much confidence when McEwen has never backed it up historically. I wish y’all the best, truly. But your posts are a little much

I was being sarcastic. We wasn’t supposed to win half the games we did last year. Waverly was supposed to blow us out.

After playing McEwen last season, I gave them nothing but praise the rest of the way out. I thought they played Huntingdon harder than anyone else in the regular season. Other than Milan. They played hard the whole game. I don’t see this year being any different.

The daddy’s your talking about. You mean the ones that coach the travel team in Mcewen that’s winning tournaments against bigger organizations and the reason the numbers have doubled in JR Pro and Jr High.  Not to mention is starting to show in the high school level. Y’all have one of those dads helping with yalls high school now. They care a lot about fundamentals and a lot more than just winning.

I’m pretty sure Waverly Jr. High is undefeated and playing in a tougher conference. Also remember when McEwen, Camden, and Huntington all 3 pulled out from playing Waverly Junior high.

When did Huntingdon middle ever shy away from anyone? They have scrimmaged over there in the spring up until last year. We have Inman this regular season. Waverly junior high is no Inman.

Huntington has a tradition of good football. A great strength program and a heckuva fan backing. Teams know they are going to be tough no matter what. They always get the other teams best.

I’m my opinion one of the things hurting Waverly is the Jr Pro. It used to be the strongest around. JVille and Waverly was Both strong. Then your EX all world coach That obviously can’t win without the big 3 stopped them from playing on the high school field and it went down hill

Nothing is hurting Waverly. JR High Winning like always. High School has 6 straight Region Championships. 3 Quarter Final Appearances and 2 Semi Final Appearances. Where’s McEwen if your Daddy magic is working? It doesn’t.

What  has Waverly done the  last 10 years without Jd Dixon and Montez Bradley. Waverly  has been at the highest enrollment of 2A for years and scarred to go back to 3A. I’ll tell you something else Waverly Didn’t do. Beat Mcewen. They strait up got out coached.

Lol. Definitely not out coached. Out played. Yes. Waverly lost their QB to injury game one last year. Kid that filled in wasn’t even a QB. It greatly affected our offense. Beating Waverly last year is the highlight of yalls life. Enjoy it.

JD and Montez didn’t hardly play their first 2 years in High School. Didn’t start. Still won 2 Region Championships. Last year. No JD No Tez No Gavin... still won Region Championship and made it to Quarter Finals. Keep keeping on with your excuses. All BS. Guess what... gonna win another one this year. Probably go at least Quarter Finals again.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
