Same here. Where’s this been all year?? And the defense is much better than I expected

I like Lowe's strategy - make the QB beat you. They are stacking the box, and playing a lot of one-on-one coverage in the secondary. They have been flagged a ton in coverage, but overall, that strategy has worked tremendously well.

i saw where some dude from oak ridge was whining and crying earlier about bashing teenagers, but uh, if central doesn’t get better at quarterback, they won’t 3-peat, let alone make it past the 2nd round. cold hard truth

Central is not the only team in the area where that position is going to cost a team a shot at a championship. It seems to be the case this year more than most.

Agreed. Kid has an arm, but needs a lot of work. In his defense though, there were a number of times tonight when WRs ran the wrong route or play design resulted in two WRs in the same area.

The King's Academy. Rebuilt their program.

cool. I’m a bobcat through and through. I don’t know much about opposing coaches and where they come from and don’t get into all the recruiting allegations/daily post that most on here get into but good game. no clue how central looks the rest of the year but hopefully we meet again in the semis!

Powell secondary and the tremendous rush on QB was a big deciding factor. Powell Goal line stance next to perfect. Take nothing away Central is better than I wanted to give credit. Again Central biggest weakness is OL. If they meet again this will be a big showdown. Central has some awesome receivers but against a great Powell secondary.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
