Top 50 in enrollment would cut everything up differently.   Northeast and Southwind with 1494 would be the new cut.   I haven't had time to look into this very much, but I'm gonna try and slice it up 50 to a class and see how that looks.  It's close to what we currently have as far as class breakdown numbers.

Are these new, updated enrollment numbers? Confused.

Would any one Enlighten me on why we  have 6 classifications in public and 3 classifications in private?? Just taking a look at other states numbers, we really shouldn’t be over 5 classifications.. I think Knox county alone has about 14-17 high schools with the most student being around 2000. This has never made a lot of since in my opinion.

4 public classes and 2 private classes, 72-3 schools for each D-1 class and 22-23 schools for each D-2 class.

Are you from Nashville? If so, you would naturally enjoy the coverage. All of us on the outside of the city likely feel differently. We get left behind for the most part...Tullahoma, Marshall County, Shelbyville, Warren County, DeKalb County, etc., just to give some obvious examples not just this year but every year.

Yes i am from Nashville.  You make good points.  Lot of driving to hit all those schools.  Rudy K used to fly the Channel 4 chopper from game to game and that was special if he showed up at your campus.  AM560 and 104.5 do Saturday morning shows that are really good.  It is very unfortunate that these hard working HS kids can't get more coverage.

Well said! Good points. It’s what we have to live with...and we are used to it.

There's a little known Prep football show on every Thursday at 6:00 PM also.   You should check it out..

Per TSSAA website.

Warren County is left off your list too. Clarksville should be the cutoff with 49 total in 6A and 49 in each of the other five classes. There are 294 football playing schools in Division I. We’ve gone through a lot of this on the Classification and 6A Region Realignment Threads.

I live in Georgia, a much bigger state, and we have one less class than Tennessee.
