You make some good points. You and I have seen eye to eye in here for years. Even when you went by another name. You hit the nail on the head on many good points. However... we have an orange and black power P hat for you to wear to support us during the playoffs.  LMBO

Don't know who you think I am Ambassador but whoever you have in mind, you're wrong. I'm just an alumni who attempts to keep up with the sports programs. In the past I was fortunate enough to be plugged in with people in the know. As time has gone by, those sources have dwindled down to almost zero.

As far as that hat is concerned, you can keep that for some other lost soul. I've been there to support a youngblood of mine that decided to dawn those colors, while wearing my purple and white underneath my jacket

Sometimes the truth hurts partner, but that's life. I'm too old to worry about who might get their feathers ruffled by my opinion on a forum for a lot of has beens  or never weres. Trust me, the last thing the folks around the square are worried about is this old geezers opinion. I know some of you like to beat your chest over the last 15 years of the rivalry, which is earned and the majority of MC folks would be doing the same on here, but if we are all being honest it hasn't been that much to boast about. Marion County has been mediocre or worse every year with the exception of MAYBE 5 of those years. The long winded post I made was to highlight the difference in a program that is consistent vs a program that has been anything but.

I enjoy high school football just as much as anybody, it's good for the soul and especially the small towns that we come from.

OP, I'll give you credit, you give it your best shot. However, you ain't the Real McCoy. Sometimes those boots are too big to fill, and that's ok.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
    • Interesting read in the fish wrap about why the baseball coach quit. No help with administrative duties. IMO Not a good look for the administration, especially the AD. What in tarnation is going on up there?
