So the TSSAA has given LC permission to play this Friday! Rumor again rumor is LC goes to FA to play a regular season game during round 1 since LC has a bye! This season can’t get any crazier! But we sure can’t go close to four weeks without playing and expect to look sharp...desperation move but I like it

Dont like having to travel though.Yes Its been crazy.Heard coach on radio saying he wanted to play someone and not do anything for 3 weeks.Said he ask TSSAA if they could play Greenfield  for the region title to make up for Covid game since both were not playing in first round.TSSAA said they could play but wouldnt count.So I'm assumming this game wont count either and be considered a scrimmage?

If that's the case,I'd just soon as played Greenfield at home even if it didnt count and if their coach was willing.Since some think we wont play them this year with most thinking West Carroll will beat them

If it happens,I see Fayette Ac has a lot of Covid losses and a loss to USJ and Davidson Ac I think.But they did beat West Carroll

It would not benefit Greenfield in any way to play LC in a scrimmage game.

Fayette Academy 3-6 record  Did win over west carrol 14 to 8 IN OVERTIME  Despite All it would still be a mistake for lc to play    WHY take a risk of some key players getting Hurt in a meaningless game.  Dresden will come to town with a strong desire to make up for the earlier loss. Lc did allow Dresden to stay in the game.  as said practice on sled blocking, assignments  exercise  Lc has got talent  Coach is YOUNG  and learning  different being head coach

I've thought the same thing about why risk an injury with playoffs here but I'm guessing hes looking at it like LC would be playing a Memphis team anyway and injuries could happen anytime.And supposedely getting a couple starters back that havent played this year,one with ACL so maybe hes wanting to see them,how they move and maybe move people in different spots if they do well

Just for unofficial region title since more than likely they wont play at all.I think West Carroll beats them again and Dresden may even beat LC.

But I agree.Why play a scrimmage other than practice? Why travel  an hour and 42 minute drive to scrimmage ?Why risk injury so close to playoff game with Dresden? Why take a chance with Covid.Stay home.

LC needs to play. Cannot go 21 days without playing a game an expect to be crisp. Injuries are part of the game and they also can happen in practice. Teams cannot worry about injuries. If LC had a veteran team with alot of game experience then I would say don't play however LC is a young team and needs the game reps.

I would think Obion Central would have wanted to play.They arent in the playoffs and close to home and be more of a money gate I'd think.
