Stratford got cheated and the ref on the video was looking right at the kid. When Stewart county recovered the onside kick the kid foot was a mile out of bounds. The video is floating on Twitter. Home cooking

A mile out of bounds? He definitely had one foot in. Not sure about the rule on that but if a catch can happen with one foot in couldn't a recovery?

Officiating crews for the State Playoffs are assigned from other Regions around the state.  The crew at the East Nashville/Fairview game last night was from out of Memphis.  I promise you there was no "home cooking" conspiracy.

You don't blow a 2TD lead that late in the game and then say "it came down to one play."  Stratford took their foot off the gas and Stewart County's players and coaches never stopped battling.  They did that same thing last week after trailing Fairview 26-7 in the 3rd Quarter.  It's unexplainable but sometimes in sports it just seems like teams have something special about them that almost makes it seem like they are a team of destiny.  Look at Stewart County's last 5 weeks:

  • 10/9:  beat Harpeth to secure the second ever Home Playoff Game in the school's history
  • 10/16:  beat Camden for the first time since 1999
  • 10/23:  beat their arch rivals, Houston County, for the first time in 4 years
  • 10/30:  beat Fairview to win the Region 6-3A Championship
  • 11/6:  beat Stratford to win the 1st EVER Playoff Game in the school's history

Good Luck to the Stewart County Rebels this upcoming week against Giles County.  Keep it rolling!

You can't be serious! If that game was called correctly on that onside kick, ball game over. That was most definitely home cooking that kick was towards their sideline. Ref clearly seen that kids foot out of bounds, so yeah Stratford loss off that one bad call!

I also noticed a SC player touch a Stratford player before the ball went 10 yards. If I'm not mistaken that is also a penalty that was not called. Either way we all have the ability to see still shots and video but refs don't. I think if it close as was in this case the refs will usually go with what they see. It did kind of look like this particular ref might have been influenced by the sideline.

It wasn't "home cooking".  That's my point.  Yes I am serious.

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
