Springfield vs Hardin County

I was wrong earlier. The FG at the end did barely make it over the crossbar. The five yard penalty was huge. I wish I knew if someone actually called out something from our defense or if they called it on our foot stomping, which is something we’ve done forever and never been called on it.

The HC radio guys are nice guys. I talked to them for about 10 minutes after the game.

I knew they acted like FG was close. The guys do a great job calling the games to me.

They are nice guys. They were saying that y’all were probably a little better last year, especially on defense. Losing Wolfe hurt both sides of the ball, but mainly offensively because he open things up for Pope in passing situations. Teams couldn’t just key on him.

I’m just disappointed we got so conservative. I get down inside our 10 not throwing any, but I wish we had taken a couple of shots deep with Kelly. I get when #2 was on him not doing it but sometimes they rolled #17 over there and had #2 in the middle. That would’ve been a good time to do it even if it’s not complete to help stretch the field out. It feels like we left a couple of bullets in the chamber. I’m sure there was a reason that I’m not aware of that we didn’t go deep but I sure wish we had.

Defense was better . That was my biggest concern coming in to this game, is how they would hold up against a team of yalls caliber . Field position played such a factor in the second half. Honestly think that’s the difference in the game.

Our defense wore down. They played lights out for the most part.

Seems we played most of the 2nd half on our end of the field

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
