He came from Florida looks good but not better than Gudger. He has some speed but not as much as Gudger. He is hard to bring down. He is a nice looking player. Only problem is he didn't bring any Offensive lineman with him from Florida. Unless there is a change made at QB this will not be the Devil's Year. For the life of me I can't figure out why if you have a young QB who doesn't have a very strong arm. And average at Best running ability. Why he would play over moving one of your Wide receivers to QB . I mean come on who is going to run the read option better our sophomore QB or The fastest man on the Team who has been getting track letter's from both north Carolina and michigan. Which of Course is Jaden Stevenson. And jaden was the starting QB Freshman year and the game that year with elizabethton went to overtime. The QB that day for Betsy was Rollins. It just seems like you are not giving yourself the best chance to win. I'm not saying it would mean that they would for sure win. Just that it would give them a better chance to. Anyway that's just one person's opinion. Whether you agree or not

Where did this new Recruit out of Greenville come from out of nowhere?

Just Looking at Greeneville's Huddle It seems he moved here from Lakeland, FL.  Played at Lake Gibson High School.  6'1 230lbs RB and only a Sophomore. Different Style than Gudger and more of Bruiser than a Speed Merchant.

Since he’s a bruiser type, Maybe they’ll try him as DE or LB and bruise the next opposing team :D and send them packing again.

You pulling away and sealing the deal in fashion or are you hoping in praying haha?

We will pull away in fashion seal the deal in this game Dramatically. This is the Year that this Maverick team gets a huge revenge for the past years. They have been waiting for this game they will be ready...

Don't forget that this isn't for a gold ball. The biggest obstacle in 4A this year is in Carter county and Elizabethton will be waiting on the winner, nomatter where they have to play the game.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
