In 2018 when coach took over he was set up with talent especially in the 9th and 11th grade classes.  Those freshman are now seniors-to-be and this group isn't even in the discussion for 2021 as a Top 10 team in a weak 2A. They dominated the youth league and only lost to Fayetteville (all close games) in Middle School. The General's eventual End of Year review or Forrest 2021 thread will be a better place to discuss the coach's performance. 

Agree.  They should have a talented group of players next year.

Anyone who thinks Sharp needs to be let go at Lewis County is probably paralyzed from the ears and up. One of the most respected Coaches in the mid state.

I see Whitwell has been posted again, seems to almost be an annual event. I've been coaching high school for 10 years and it's been open five or six times in that span.

Trying to get a company to move there so they can be like South Pittsburg. No but really whitwell talent has always been walking the hallways got to get a coach that can bring them out and the parents need to shut their mouths

I read where the old coach is staying as an assistant so doesn't seem political to me.  Why wuld he step down though?  Is this a good job?  What do they return?
