You played against a team who took your passing attack away was why you think you played a horrible first half. Last year our dbs were outstanding athletes. Once you went away from the passing and went power run football that was the difference. At least where I was sitting. Thats what I saw.

Our passing was not good because our QB did not have his usual game.  He missed a wide open receiver for which would have been a sure td.  He never misses.  He played at about 65% of his ability. But I would take his 50% over most 100%, he was that good.

In my opinion, Meigs will not be able to handle the physicality of Peabody. I expect Peabody to manhandle Meigs’s defense up front and on the second level. Meigs struggles to get anything going on offense as their run game is shut down by a more physical team that wants it more. In the end whoever wants it more will win this game and the golden tide have a massive advantage in that area. Meigs has looked great against weaker teams this year but I see them wilting on the big stage due to a lack of mental toughness.

Hit the nail on the head yeti. Before the half I was screaming why isn’t Peabody running the ball. You can actually go back and check my post. Tide21 said Jacobs was saving that till the second half that way you guys couldn’t make adjustments at halftime.

I think your DBs are pretty good this year also. Peabody is going to try and get to the outside on y’all Saturday and will try to run off tackle also. We couldn’t match their speed but McKenzie could that’s why it was such a close game. I think Meigs will be able to match their speed also. But Peabody’s running back will be the fastest y’all have faced all year. Vaughn is a strong back but not like what they had last year. They will use him on short yardage and goal line.

Wow Vandy, you got our game plan down to a science.  Last year Dickson was banged up.  They wanted to save him for the second half and it paid off royaly.

You joined the ‘T’ 51 minutes ago. Which starter for Peabody is making you to do this? Maybe a coach? You don’t have to do what they say buddy.

    • Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.
    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
