I just read the order. The 10 person limit does not apply to sporting events. Allows for administrators, officials, media, coaches, players and parents (guardians, immediate family). According to Kreager, TSSAA will likely provide further guidance  in the next couple days.

I don’t care what they do as long as the kids get to play

Churches are not included in the order.

The actual order is in the article and can be read

Thanks I found it on Twitter. If schools are smart they would play games without fans the 1st two weeks back. Order becomes very vague with regards to TSSAA. Maybe Bernard in company will lay out more strict guidelines that schools will actually follow.

I just read the article and got a text from a relative who coaches. The order leaves a lot of room for TSSAA to put a halt to things. Only bright spot is the governor said he knows how important high school sports are. Hopefully they get to finish this year

Why would TSSAA put a halt to it if the governor don’t?? Reason they halted it last year was because of the governor. CDC and Fauci both have came out within the last week and said this is not a problem with kids. You think destroying a kids sports career is needed with a disease that don’t affect kids??

I see your argument. I will say this, I loved the way Trenton brought probably the biggest crowd if not then 2nd biggest to Cookeville, but I just think TSSAA did a bad job with the attendance that weekend. No space seating or anything. I’m not talking down on our community support in any way. I’m just stating TSSAA didn’t handle that weekend the correct way

The statement serves with this I say let the kids play it out. If you have to limit fans on coming then do it, allow the parents to come. Basketball needs to be played and imo should’ve finished out last season

We hadn’t had 1 problem with basketball. Same with football. You know why I know?? I have been to every Gibson County game and the same people are at every game and I thank the good Lord for that. People set with their families and spread out. Temperature checks and masks.
