Week 4 - Oak Ridge @ Farragut

After watching ADs I think Oak Ridge will be lucky to keep it close.Unless some magic happens and we find some kind of offense it will get ugly. Our defense is solid but this is an awful matchup for us and if we go 3 and out a lot it will get ugly fast.Out matched upfront and our defense hasnt seen a passing team like this so far and I expect some growing pains.Hopefully we can learn a lot and get better from this game like we did last yr.They did a great job of picking on our weakest link last yr and I wouldnt doubt if they try that again. We need to get better so Im all for getting guys reps and trying to find some bodies to keep so many guys from having to play both ways.Playing such a bigger school like this really test your depth and this might be the least deep Wildcat team I can remember.Ill be there hoping for the best.Go Cats

I'm hoping the Wildcats bring a lot of momentum from the Clinton game into the Farragut contest. OR must play a perfect game to win.

Perfect game?  I don't think even almighty Bama can play a perfect game.  Lol.  We will have to play our best yet and then some.  That's for sure.

Yes, I said a " perfect game. " The Wildcats must bowl a 300 pin game. They must then pitch 9 innings of no  hit baseball. Finally, the men from VictORy City must score 1600 on their SAT Test.  :roflol:

No problem. A piece of cake. We got this. :thumb:  RWR!

Willie acting like Gut is an elite 6A team. This is a game that the Ridge should win. Period. I think they get that win somewhere around 10pm this evening.

I see Oak Ridge winning this came. Farragut just doesn’t have the defense to stop that running back and Oak Ridge defense is good enough to stop the one receiver they have. Farragut doesn’t have a running game beside the QB and some of that is him scrambling on passing downs. Oak Ridge has two really good LB’s.

We will have to score 28 to get this one.  Stop the slant and the deep cross. I think our "weakest link" will be much better tomorrow night.  Pick six.  Go Cats

OR won't score 28...at least not on offense. Line play...line play...line play...OR has one very good linemen, a couple others are adequate. Farragut has a good group of linemen which will make it very tough for OR to score at all, much less score 28.

I agree.  28 is extremely wishful thinking.  I can hope.

    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
