Great win tonight.  What a start for a new school.  Looking at Cleveland's schedule this season it looks like they had one lose that maybe they should have won (Bearden). The other loses were to very good teams. Probably better than Region 1 teams. Bottom line is Cleveland's got a 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive to play a team that is probably playing it's best ball of the season.     Let the best team win!

Hoping for WR's first playoff win.

Reading another thread on here.  Cleveland sounds like they could come I-81 and put a hurtin on the Wolves.  Hopefully WR can represent Region 1. From what everyone is saying R1 is gonna get swept.  Guess we will see.

Can’t wait for this one. I hope it does snow. I have seen football teams start out strong at the beginning of the season and burnout toward the end of season. West Ridge just keeps on improving. Hard to tell when they will peak. Them seniors are making themselves a year to remember for the rest of their lives. I’ve noticed a lot of people have underestimated the wolves ability since from the beginning of the season based on the three schools’s previous football seasons. Nothing sweeter then proving the naysayers wrong. Go Wolves!!!

West Ridge has the best chance of a win for R1/6A.          Thinking about coming to this one because it has all the makings of a dandy.     Plus they're calling for snow next Friday, yah!!!             You guys would let a Blazer squeeze into the home side, right?

You're always welcome, blazer! If you're going, better get your ticket now on gofan.co. It's gonna be a packed house.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
