District 7A

Everything is really quiet from District 7A, Anyone know anything about 7A so far. Who looks good?

The district is usually the best or one of the best in the state but Clarkrange and Pickett Co. lost heavily to graduation. Clay Co may be the favorite, but the district is weaker than it has been in a long long time. PC and Clarkrange have plenty of young talent and will bounce back. PC has maybe the best player in Shayla Wood, while Clarkrange would say their Matty Bush is the best.

Looks like Clarkrange served notice last night beating the brakes off of the reigning AA State Champions (Macon County).

Clarkrange played good last night, but Macon is replacing all 5 starters with 4 freshmen and a junior (who hardly played last year). Plus, 2 starters and a key sub were hurt last night and didn't play. Macon is going to be down quite a bit this year. I figure Clarkrange will be in the middle of the district race come season end.

Macon is really really young and will take a bunch of losses but will get better. Clarkrange will get better as well. Too well coached not too.

I don’t know about this year but they will ramp things back up next year.  Some ballers on that team but they are soooo young.

Macon Co? They lost all their starters. It's not like they beat a good team.

After seeing PC play three games, if they are down, it's not noticeable. They look very good.

What happened to Clarkrange on Saturday? I thought they were going to play a couple of games. There's a game listed with North Greene but there's no score and no other game is listed. If Clarkrange played, someone should post their scores.

They beat Smith County and North Greene, Not a lot of offense either game, lots of defense.

Being down or not will be determined when they play a competitive team, so far they really haven't . I will say the same thing about Clarkrange they are down some, but have played some decent competition. And that's what it takes is to play bigger teams. Good luck to both teams, just hope both can upset Clay County.
