#4 is BEAT UP and dragging this morning but we got work to get done around here :roflol:

I'm sure #9 and the rest of the team knows they were in a fight last night! It was an 11 man win.

Crickets from SG (except for Romans) and Meigs

Romans is a good guy, wish I could have met him. You need to let that youngun rest up, slave driver.

Just curious……….

Out coached? Adjustments? It looked like to me both teams did what they have done all year. Nothing unusual by either team. Hampton blocked TC better than TC blocked Hampton. Play calling doesn’t matter as much as kids executing the call no matter the offense. Execution can make any call look good.

Change from the Wing-T offense? TC has been to the semifinals the last 4 yrs. Why change? If TC blocks a just a little better they win. That has nothing to do with them being in the spread, I-formation or Wing-T. You still have to block in any scheme. I love the spread but  TC doesn’t have the kids to run it. And just because they have speed doesn’t mean they can or should. Or just because a kid can throw the ball doesn’t mean he should be in the shotgun. There is a lot of good passing plays from the Wing-T. TC just hasn’t been able run them.

Come on man. You know we need to be in that shotgun formation with 6 receivers slinging the pill all over the field. Especially being we have that dual athlete qb with the rocket arm and wheels to go with it. And you know, we got all that stuff coming back next year. You know, that spread stuff kinda kid.

Thinking about all the plays and moments last night, With under 3:30 left Hampton faced a 3rd and 11 on their own 34, Jones picked up 12 on a QB draw, by far the most important play for the outcome, Hamptons defense played very well really playing to limit big plays, and we were trying to hit big plays instead of taking 3 yards and a cloud of dust. As a jacket fan I would tell you we didn’t believe our kids would make it this far although we knew they had the potential. Hampton controlled the line of scrimmage and limited TC to only 28 offensive plays and 3 first downs. To the dogs, best of luck to y’all next Saturday, it’s a day you will remember the rest of your lives, win or lose! And as for me, it is finally time to set my headset down, and reflect on the memories, for this is not goodbye just see you later, I’ll be a jacket til I’m dead and cold! Go Jackets!

I felt like the biggest play of the game was when Hampton has the ball down 20-8 and facing a 4th and 8. Qb ripped one up the seam and found his guy to get them inside the 10. If they don’t convert that, TC has ball at midfield up 12 points.

Last night was not about scheme it was about execution. They team that executed for majority of the night won the game. TC had 2 huge plays back to back or we could possibly be telling a completely different story this morning. Sure a couple pass plays might have helped loosen things up but that isn’t this qb strength by any means. If the opportunity to pass doesn’t match the ability to pass then you don’t do it until absolutely necessary. That just my opinion

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
