I don’t pick games on here much. Lots of girls read these boards and I had rather be like Lou Holtz a little and give more credit than some of these teams actually deserve, but I don’t want our girls

No doubt. That’s a great group of young ladies and the freshman will be a force for the next 3 years. Congrats on getting there and getting the Silver.

Wayne County is a tough team. Not going to win a Gold Ball with 23 Turnovers. They need to address that, but they are a solid team no doubt. Had a great year.

Congratulations to McKenzie on a fine season and the gold ball you earned it. It's hard to take everyone's best shot every night. 23 turnovers killed my Lady Cats chances but they fought hard till the end  with a lot of heart. I am so proud of my Lady Cats.  To our coaches Molly and Scott I'd like to say you have returned our program back to where it once was. A force to be reckoned with. Lady Cats will be in the hunt for the gold ball for several seasons because there is lot of talent on the horizon. Lady Cat basketball is fun to watch once again.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
