Saw yesterday that Jackson Ford, the 6-5 soph starting QB for Beech has transferred to play for Melissa High in Melissa Texas.  I believe he announced the same thing back in July 2021 but then came back to Beech the next week.

I had heard that he was possibly transferring to Lipscomb where he could play for TD.  Still very good football in Texas

At least 20 miles away. Even private school. Craig Bradshaw rule.

That’s an easy problem to solve. From the Beech area to Williamson, Rutherford or Dickson County solve the 20 mile rules.  Most just rent an apartment that is 20 miles away. My personal opinion is that Texas high school football is much better than Tennessee which will allow the young man to develop his skills.

I think the rule is the schools are 20 miles apart.  Not that you move 20 miles.

People may not want to acknowledge the fact that people move every day and cheat/not tell the truth as to why they are moving.  BTW, the distance between Beech High School and Lipscomb is 26.4 miles

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
