Fulton Bob Black retires(for now)

Bob Black has resigned from Fulton.He is live on WKCS as I type.He said he rather stay at Fulton but if something opens in the county & he is offered he would think on it

Timing is everything, had Black announced at the end of the year is Jones at Fulton and not Bearden

In a word, no. The way I understand it there is no love lost between the Fulton Family and Jones. Besides that I think Jones found his niche out west and Fulton will find theirs. Bearden needs a general manager. Fulton needs a community leader. All due respect to both schools.

That's fair, I'm sure Jones was able to tap into the area and it didn't sit well by moving kids to Emory Rd.

Wow, this is interesting.  Yesterday, I was joking when I said Black to South Doyle but if he really stated he would think on it maybe my joking could be reliable.  However, I think Coach Black is done and looking to care for his dad.

I think it takes alot of guts and maturity to be able to say hey guys I'm burnt out I've lost the passion. How many coaches run programs into the ground because they're to selfish to swallow a hard pill. Much respect to coach Black from this Greene Devil.

Black isn't leaving Fulton.  He was named the co-AD and if Knox County adopts the model they have been testing in some schools and relieve the assistant principals of the AD duties so they can just be APs, and have a non principal level AD, then Rob likely gets that slot.
