White Station High School HFC Search

Does anyone know what is going on with White Station (Memphis) High School Spartan Football?  They were the first school to announce an opening at HFC and they still do not have a head coach in place.  It wasn't that long ago that WSHS was the 6A State Champions in football.

I know that a coach from Nettleton, Arkansas, I think his name is Clint Wilson, accepted the position and then resigned two or three days later.

Simple answer:  Money, facilities, coaching stipends, money, facilities, money, facilities...oh and working for possibly the worst school system in the country

All the metro schools around the country are collapsing athletically. Especially in football

I take extreme offense to the last line. Regardless Whitehaven will be back on the scene

No doubt they will be back on the scene. Too much tradition, pride, talent and community support for Da Haven not to be back. Much respect. Good luck in y’all’s scrimmage tonight against Ensworth. Let us know how it goes.

In regards to the NEW Head Coach at White Station, it is Coach Teran Conley. Conley is my frat brother ('A PHI '06). He has a lot of Coaching Experience. He will do an excellent job with making those boys become men.  He has no shot at beating us, G-Town, Collierville, Bartlett or Houston this season in the region but he will field a tough minded team that will strike on defense. I personally know Bro. Conley and vouch for his character as a man. He's an alumnus of Trezevant High, he played under Lynn Lane. He was the head coach over at Rossville Christian Academy prior to this position I believe. 2 of his daughters just graduated from White Station so I know he will do his best to make them proud coaching for their alma mater. Whitehaven is a great school and team...the system as a whole is full of corruption.
