Old Pirate says, Congratulations to the Pirates on the “W” while showing youth mistakes. The Pirates defended the ship while doubling+ the Indians production. There is plenty of work needed, however PATs & kickoffs were better than anyone expected after last years kicker transfer to Baylor. The defense was stingy & aggressive, offense showed fire power while scoring on all drives except the missed FG. Per Hargis man’s article, 382-143 ain’t shabby. 42 rushes for 303 yds & passing 8 for 15 for 79 yds with multiple long runs negated & dropped passes would have easily exceeded 500 total yds. Regards to the Indians for a hard fought game & good luck moving forward.

It was a little better than I expected after losing the studs we lost last season. Penalties need to be cleaned up. Especially those face masks and personal fouls.
