Their district is one of the weakest in the state and AA has been the worst class in the state for years. Just because you win games doesn't mean you're good. The schedule is weak and the film says it all. The SS vs NS film is nothing but a bunch of eurostep layups with no help defense by either team.

They pressure bad teams into turnovers and get easy baskets because they're more athletic and usually bigger. That's 6th grade rec league ball at its best. That's not basketball.

Wow. I’m an old sports guy and your comments just don’t make sense to me. Been following sports here for a long time and South Side Basketball has been and still is one of the top programs in the state. They have tons of kids playing at the next level and every year their kids graduate and go play college ball. I’ve watched a lot of their games. Kids are respectful, well coached, play hard and have been very skilled. Their talent has been going down for several years and they still okay for a championship.  There are several kids that graduated from their district playing college basketball this year. A couple from North Side, South Side and at least 1 from South Gibson. So… what are you talking about? Wow, I’m just an old sports guy and your comments just don’t make any sense.

Anyway, back to the original intent of the thread and how the JMCSS blatantly lied to two of the very best coaches to patrol a sideline in West Tennessee. Why is the head of the school system not held accountable? Afterall, he is responsible for everything that goes on in that system.

What is there to hold accountable? The jobs are no longer being given what was promised. It's over. The experiment didn't work and back to square one.

Jackson has 65,000+ people and should dominate basketball outside of Memphis.

It's simple. Why were two of the very best to ever coach in West Tennessee  lied to? They were brought in under false pretences. The truth is that they had federal grant money to make the hire but grant money was only for one year. Then when the school system pays the salary out of their budget they want more added responsibilities. That was not what those two coaches agreed to. Not to mention, the original contracts offered were a slap in the face to every other public school is town. It definitely created a hostile environment. Just another JMCSS mess.

Sounds like the natural consequences of studidity have played out here. The fact is that good coaches aren't beating down the doors to get into JMCSS and work. They might have gotten some outside interest with these positions and compensation but you don't really want coaches that are looking for that. You want coaches that are hungry and know how to build programs not just coach year to year.

Jackson schools should dominate sports in West TN outside of Memphis/Shelby County year in and year out. Why don't they?

The JMCSS entered into a legal contract with the two coaches. The JMCSS decided that after one year they wanted to violate the contract by adding things in not agreed to. When the JMCSS would not honor the contract signed between the parties,  the coaches bailed and I don't blame them. This fiasco is all on the JMCSS PERIOD

Do you know all of this for a fact or just hearsay?

Why wouldn't the coaches in question sue for breach of contract? Worst case they would settle?

I'm gonna ask this question again.

Why doesn't JMCSS dominate West TN outside of Memphis? Why aren't coaches flocking to get jobs?

Fact or hearsay.....Let's just say straight from the horses mouth.

Why don't they sue?....Both coaches got new gigs doing what they want in a very short time period. Neither was out of work before getting a new job. Why go through the hassle.

As far as the rest of your statement, why don't you go ask the coaches why they leave in droves for other opportunities. I do agree, Jackson pu lies should be more dominate than what they are. Too many schools would be one reason. Jmo
