Watching live without replay, when all 22 kids stop playing thinking he was down, which looked like he was watching live broadcast, then a few seconds later he takes off running at the encouragement of the coaches. Just looked very odd. I am not saying it was the wrong call. It just that every call that decided the game went one way. The TD called down on the galling was bs....the kid clearly broke the plain. No debate on that one.

Fayetteville was the state champion two years ago.  South Pittsburg is the defending state champions.

I was at the game also and I agree with you. This game is going to be a hard fought game. Both teams our very good and should come down to the end.

With the weather forecast showing possible rain, I hope neither team has a lot of turnovers tomorrow.  That could be the difference maker and not the refs.

Excuses. Excuses. Proves my point.  3 of the 5 non-region games are 1A and 2A teams. And then you’re complaining about second smallest enrollment in the region. Fayetteville enrollment is a fraction of baxters.

there are a lot of people complaining about the "home refs" in Fayetteville. little do you know, those "home refs" generally go against Fayetteville. literally every game, for the last two years and going into this season.

I don’t think the refs are going to affect your season unless it’s late in the playoffs

I'm going to go against the grain on this thread and say that I appreciate officials.  Everyone has seen a bad call or an even worse no-call in a game.  Sometimes these can influence the outcome.  It happens.  Games have been decided as a result of bias, I'm sure.  Those are the exception and not the rule.  Most contests are called in a fair manner and most officials are good folk who are undertaking a thankless task. This is my belief.  They must love the game to subject themselves to such scrutiny for little pay.  Tennessee needs more of them.  The least we can do is to trust that they are fair and that any mistakes are honest.  The upside to my strategy is that more people would want to be officials if we were all on the "be cool to officials" page.  When we have enough supply the quality of their work would increase due to competition for the job.  I'm not now nor have I ever been an official. Thoughts?
