Sounds like a good win for MASE. Also sounds like LC didn’t play well. Congrats to LC on a good year. Congrats to MASE for moving on…however don’t book rooms in Chat! You COULD win next week but for sure midnight madness will start in the next two weeks. City/McKenzie is the championship next week

Man you arent joking.Gonna be a murderers row!

MASE still hasn’t had to play a full game yet. Don’t assume they can’t beat McKenzie.

MASE will have to bring home a gold ball before anybody outside of Shelby County admits they are good.

Gold Balls are the standard.  Win or bust. Mase may beat Peabody but will they ever have the consistent program Peabody has.  No one has these bragging rights but Milan, UC, and Peabody and of course Alcoa.  Im talking small ball. A, AA, and AAA. I can't leave out Huntingdon.   They don't have a lot of hardware but they do have tradition.  It's UC or Huntingdon for 2A state championship this year.

The school that been playing ball since '17 doesn't have the consistency of state powers? You don't say!

Sure. Because Trenton barely beat your team and MASE beat the mess out of your team. Makes a lot of sense.

Think Trenton will be a great game simply cause Trenton defense is better than LC.s.Mase has an excellent team but didn't see enough out of their passing attack to think they will win state.Line was good but it's really the Brown show.Think a better defense will slow them down. Was 16 to 0 and LC got a key penalty. Then later, had to take chances on 4th down.Still think it's McKenzie or Fayetteville win it all.Leaning toward Fayetteville. But congrats to Mase.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
