Kind of similar to the 50/50 rebound that Cleveland was called for a foul on with 35 seconds to play that should have been a jump ball.  It was a well officiated game between two solid teams.  Both teams played their guts out.  Don't blame the loss on the officials.  You guys had no answer for the Hurst kid.

It was a poorly officiated game on both ends. Even in the boys game as well.

This crew has had better nights for sure, they have called several of our games lately and did just fine.  It happens.  Girls are continuing to improve.  We are doing much better against team who are much much taller than us.  Just need to continue to cut down on the unforced turnovers.

Greene County Tournament...

Oak Ridge plays Thomas Dale High School ( VA ), Dec. 28, at 12 pm.

TDHS was 20 - 5 and made it to the 6 A State Final 4 last season.

Currently, the Lady Knights are 6 - 0. Looking at their Roster, they are well balanced with a mix of freshmen through seniors. The team picture seems to show a team much larger then the Lady Wildcats. 

It seems to me the Lady Cats must hope to get rebounds / turnovers and push the pace of the game.

Hey Lady Wildcats!  YOU GOT THIS!  RWR!

There is a thread for the Greene County tournament so we may want to post there during the tournament.

I was at the game. You can be proud of your girls. They had a good chance to win, but it was if Oak Ridge was going up against a college team, size wise. Thomas Dale was just plain big inside. Your guards, #3 and #10 were tenacious and gave their team a chance to win. The game could have gone either way.

As I told you earlier, Oak Ridge saves its best for the Ladies Classic. I hope to see more of them while they are in Greeneville.

      Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.

      What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
