Moving to the quarters

113- Carson Dupill, Greenville

126- Jarvis Little, Summit

138- Landon Desselle, Summit

       Hunter Mason, Greenville

144- Colin Dupill, Greenville

157- Max Norman, Dobyns Bennett

those are the only names I recognized going through the brackets. I don’t think there are any upper weights kids moving on but I’m not 100%.

Dupill brothers look really sharp.  Desselle wrestling tough and looks ready to continue on tomorrow.  Great to see Hunter back out on the mats for the second week in a row after completing a long rehab process.   It looks to me that Hunter is feeling more and more comfortable after each match.

Max had a tough match third match where he was able to come back from an early deficit and eek out the win.

Mason Jakob is in the consolation but looking really dominant since his main draw loss.

How Tennessee has faired against seeded opponents at the Beast of the East:

Jakob from DB at 113 lost to the #3 seed 5-3, but has come back and upset the #14 and #7 seeds in back to back matches.

Titus Norman from DB at 126 lost 6-4 to the #10 seed

Max Norman from DB and 152 upset the #3 seed 6-4

Ben Tucker from DB at 138 got pinned by the #15 seed

Hunter Mason from Greeneville at 138 has beaten the #15 seed 12-6

Michael Posey from Summit lost to #16 seed 14-0

Brayden Leech from Summit upset the #9 seed 4-1 but lost to the #8 seed 6-1

Luke Justice lost to the #2 seed 11-3

Impressive reversal by Colin Dupill to beat the flowrestling 14th ranked Cameron Catrabone in triple OT.

Hunter Mason dominant and controlling in his win, other kid seemed to be doing his best to turn it into a brawl, Hunter wasn't buying what he was selling.

Carson manhandles his quarter final opponent 12-4.

All three of the above onto the semis.  Of note is that Hunter gets the flowrestling number 5 at 138 in Kolin Rath.

Desselle wrestled tough in his quarter finals, all the way to 3-3 in the third and gets hit by a double with 15 seconds left.  Into the consoles where he immediately bounces back and beats the 15th seed.

Super sophomore Max Norman ran into a senior wrestler he couldn't physically dominate but nonetheless puts on a show. No rest for Max as he will get the 9th seed in the consoles.

Mason Jakob still looking sharp in the consoles.

Ugh.. three one point losses for the Greeneville guys in the semis.

Carson downed 2-1, Hunter and Colin lost 3-2.  Hopefully all rebound to get into the 3rd and 4th place match.

Mason Jakob will be wrestling for 7th.

Max loses to another senior who was the 9th seed and will not medal.

Desselle wrestling for 7th.

Still a great day for the Devil grapplers. Particularly Hunter coming back from surgery and rehab.
