2023 Softball Predictions

Does anyone have any information on Hollow-Rock Bruceton? On paper they look to be a contender. 

Whitwell vs. Gordonsville has been pushed back till 6pm.

Lot of good players and teams. Might be very competitive. Eagleville in 1A might be the most favored to repeat. Gordonsville looks good too.

Opening game in 2A is last years championship game between Alcoa and Forrest. Should be a good one.

Made these predictions back in January, so I'll stay with my picks of winners. Should be a great week of games and upsets. 

A- Eagleville- solid team young team top to bottom, experience and advantage of winning it last year. Looks like it'll come down to Gordonsville and Eagleville... winner of that game should take it back home. 

AA- Alcoa- another young team with talent top to bottom. Both Alcoa and Eagleville are very similar in regards to team makeup. Best young coach in the game. 

AAA- Gibbs- Repeat of the last two- young experience a year older now, almost everyone back from last years runner-up. Most experienced coach in the game. 

AAAA- Farragut- Have the best player in the state. This team is not like the last two who beat you before you played as they've had to fight to survive, but still carry the experience of winning the last two.

Yep. Those appear to be the safest picks. Volunteer sophomore LHP must be very good. Struck out 18 in eleven inning substate game for surprising 1-0 win over Halls.

She's a solid pitcher for sure. They go as she goes and if she can get run support they can make a run.

She was throwing 64 + in 8th grade.  We played church hill in a tournament and couldn't touch her.

2A Forrest has an eighth grade pitcher on their varsity. In 3A McNairy has a freshman & Lexington a sophomore. Lots of young pitchers.

Waverly could challenge in 2A with their junior pitcher, junior Georgia commit at ss, and the standout freshman catcher.
