Looks like Greeneville has an easy schedule this year.   Here's a look:

AUG 18 @ Tennessee High...... 1-0
AUG 25 @ Dobyns-bennett...... 2-0
SEP 1  Cherokee........................ 3-0
SEP 7  Alcoa............................... 3-1
SEP 15 Morristown West.......... 4-1
SEP 22 @ Volunteer.................. 5-1
SEP 29 Sullivan East................. 6-1
OCT 6 Grainger........................ 7-1
OCT 20 Northview Academy... 8-1
OCT 27 Elizabethton................ 9-1

Other thoughts:
- The Greeneville JV may as well play against these cakewalks:  Cherokee, Volunteer, Sullivan East, Grainger, Northview Academy
- The Aloca and Elizabethton games could go either way

Is Alcoa loaded again this year?  Who are their key players returning?

The questions should be when is Alcoa not loaded? lol.  Key Players returning for them are the Cannon Brothers, Owens (4star Athlete who holds 9 D1 offers as a Sophomore), Barret, McCord, Duggan, etc.  Their biggest loses to graduation are Williams (VT),and Jeffery's (IU) on the Line, Harrison (RB/Wr), Lundsford (QB).  They return a lot to say the least

Six of these teams are now in our conference.  We didn't get to pick our conference we just play the games.  It's going to be hard to keep a good schedule when you have 6 games that going to get played every year until TSSAA realigns.  hen finding teams that will play you non-conference.  Tenn High, DB, Alcoa, and Mo West should be good games.  I jusst don't know about the conference.

I get it, a lot of the games are by decision not choice.      The only thing you can do is go out each week and play your best and try to win.

I knew he was going to be special the first time I watched him play as an 8th grader.  Man amongst boys at that RB and LB position .  Didn't know how big he was until I grabbed a snack at the concessions and he walk right next to me

Love to see him in Orange instead of Bama Maroon!

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
