Better recognize where you're at in the pecking order.  Sorry to say but smaller rural schools aren't most coaches dream job. Hire a younger energetic coach who is making a name for himself. The truth of the matter is most 1 and 2A schools are considered stepping stones these days to coaches.  Embrace it like the University of Memphis

If it is the one that Lewis had before, he can stay in Maury County we do not want him back period.

Agreed. Surprised Lewis County was able to get Derek Rang from Gatlinburg Pittman. GP is one of the best jobs in the state. Lewis County is going to win whether if they have a good coach or a young/energetic coach.

Rang was in Mississippi prior to going to Lewis.

Being stuck in the same class as Alcoa keeps it from being labeled one of the best jobs, no doubt a good job though but there is a hard ceiling on what you can accomplish
