I didn’t see any “cheating”. That’s a word that should be avoided when discussing referees. They called some touchy stuff out front and let some harder stuff go in the paint. Not saying the game was officiated well, but no cheating.

A game being officiated this way was my biggest concern for South Side coming into the tournament. There seems to be a couple every year that end up with multiple players fouling out due to touch fouls while players get hammered around the basket with no calls. South Side survived, which is all that matters. Lawson was unbelievable.

One of the best state tournament games I’ve ever seen.

Anybody know where #4 for Elizabethton is playing college ball? Not many players run past South Side’s guards like she did

That’s our concern every time we get here. They call more touch fouls in the open court & you will get beat up around the goal & get no call.

I agree this was one of the best games I can remember! It was definitely a battle! Not so much from the beginning to the end lol but from the mid way in the 3rd to the 2nd overtime was a thriller!

#4 for Bethon was a nightmare! She is ridiculously good! She is D1 ready! I love her game, I am a fan of her!

How did the final play where Betsy was a the foul line unfold. Is it true that they coulda iced the game but missed 2 free throws? If so then all this discussion about the refs doesn’t matter. You gotta hit those shots if you’re playing championship ball. Unfortunately i haven’t had an opportunity to watch the replay. IF those free throws were the difference that’s a tough way to lose.

Lynn’s  missed two free throws that would have won the game in regulation. ( I don’t think she had missed one until that point).  She made the two in OT to send it to the 2nd OT.  She played a heck of a game and a lot of other plays could have won them the game so not putting that on her shoulders

Lyon’s (#4) is a heck of a ball player.  I’m don’t think she has any D1 offers but hopefully that changes after yesterdays game.

Lawson is a heck of a ball player too, where is she committed?

She is a beast! And that will definitely change in my opinion! Lawson isn’t committed, she wants to stay home close to family. Which I disagree with but who knows where she go to college.

Heather Butler was the same way as well as my neice  I can understand that. Lot of these kids today are more home bodies and that is a good thing.

I know a D3 school in GA has offered her.  I also think an NAIA offer.  I think she could definitely play at the D2 level.

I wasn't that familiar with her until yesterday, but had heard a lot about her. I was impressed with her speed, driving ability, and floor vision. She's very talented and could handle the ball in a very hostile situation. She's a player.
