BCB~MVP
TC 97 team was special. They didnt have a single standout as they were all studs! Honestly, it would have been hard pressed to find a team in the state to beat them. I still remember seeing Scruggs run down the tail back from the back side DE spot for a loss. For those that dont know, Mr. Scruggs played at 6'4 275ish range as a guess. He may have been heavier. The only problem with the stats previously stated, they starters typically only played 2 quarters. And someone mentioned them punting to Monterey on 1st down, truth i saw it.

That team pitched 6 shutouts on the season and most points given up in a game was 8! No opponent scored double digit points all season. I noticed you never complained the past 10 years. Kinda odd. Also went just as far in football as they did in basketball got beat in the quarterfinals. Have you noticed that even when the football team has one of their best years ever, thanks to the players, that the community still doesn't show up? It's because of the lack of coaching. You’re still the only one complaining. Really odd!

Good evening CCLHL08, I love you, but you're wrong. The reason for the success this year was thanks to our hard working linemen. You probably don't know football as well as me, but watching that line dominate all year(up until they were out coached vs Tyner), was impressive. Got it makes perfect sense

wholder
That ‘04 DCA team was pretty dang good!! Playing in the private division now but was 1A then. They dismantled a 12-0 Mt Pleasant team that features a freshman by the name of Marco Daily. We all know what he did tue next three years. Both I believe went to a JUCO in Mississippi together. They are both homebody's and came back to Hartsville. Typically you will find them nowadays in a hayfield and you may even catch them on a Friday night at the Creekbank.
