Heard Powell won first half 3-1. Anyone confirm?

Hang it up dude, you're wrong as usual. Powell scored 2 TD's (One being first team) one on their 2nd possession and then an int on Alcoa's last possession (3rd string came in during the third possession since storms were rolling in).  You need to find new sources with how bad your reporting is

Both Coaches where more focused on working personnel at different spots and evaluating overall team. I don't think you can really say a team "won" a scrimmage?

Video highlights all scoring for the 1's and 2's...............

Alcoa's third team scored once. Powell's defense scored once.

Pretty much how I heard it from folks on both sides who were there.

Goid scrimmage from both perspectives.

It wasn’t 3rd string, it was 1 on 1’s Grafs pass was tipped and Powell picked it and scored

Then tell 5starpreps they are wrong because it came from their write up of the scrimmage.  It stated that 3rd string came in during the 2nd half of the third possession for Powell

It was Graf that had the pass tipped, but Coach Nix was rotating a lot of players that possession. A lot of 2's and 3's where in at line and skill player positions. After the tipped pass was ran back 20 yards for a Powell TD, Alcoa again on offense, rotated players every down and marched the ball down to the Powell 8 yard line, only to have Lighting and Heavy dark clouds end the game. To Jesse@5stars it probably looked like the 3rd string team in that series. It defiantly was not 1's on 1's.  That was the first and second possessions for both teams.

Powell may have lost a bunch of skill players. From what I remember they have their whole offensive line coming back. It will probably be them vs West again in the semifinals.

Lost their biggest offensive lineman to graduation, but otherwise the OL is pretty solid.

The biggest questions on offense are finding a QB to replace a former Mr. Football finalist,  and keeping a 160 pound RB healthy.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
