Expect more players to depart Lipscomb because of Kevin Mawae. He is not a players coach like Trent Dilfer. He blames the players for his and his coaches lack of experience and ineptitude. His loss of Deuce Knight won't be the only one

Following....

Can you cite examples of him not being a players coach?

Would players really risk losing a year of eligibility?

Why did Knight leave?   If his family had moved to Nashville because his dad had taken a new job he was with family as reported by Lipscomb. So if he got homesick for family then family wasn’t in Nashville this raises  Red flags.  Where was he living? Who paid for the  rent and food.  Lot of questions  I am sure TSSAA will want answered. Wondering where Knight will wind up.  Some speculation over here at either Baylor or across town.

BA may drop both.

It would really make the Board of Trust at both schools look like idiots if they terminate the headmaster and head football coach as they approved both hires.

I agree that BA should terminate both the headmaster and head football coach but I don’t feel that will even be considered.  I do know that BA has had a massive turnover with the faculty and the local alumni are not happy.  Until BA get’s back to their roots they will never be as successful as they once were.  BA does not appear to have the same size and athleticism in the trenches as past BA teams.

BA has lost some really good coaches over the past few years - Cody White, Hubie Smith (MBB) and Buddy Alexander (Baseball).  All won multiple state titles  That is a lot of change in a short time so I can understand getting a hire wrong. I think they righting the ship by naming Michael Brown head baseball coach..

The best player on the team was out this summer but they convinced him to stay It’s no secret. Remember some of these kids are middle TN kids and they talk to each other all the time.

This is not an example of coach not being a players coach. This kind of stuff happens ALL THE TIME. Kid don't want to play and coaches convince them to stay.

starting a new T username and 1st thread creation just to tell that....50/50 disgrunted parent...Booger thinkin ant no more players gonna depart that LA team than would normally....

....you have the same jimmys and joes as last season and LA more likely challenges for a D2AAA Class Gold Ball......and no doubt takes another Gold Ball away from CPA in D2AA..

..if LA had not moved up to the big boy class...takin another D2AA gold ball away from CPA was probably a guarantee this year and next.....but LA is now in D2AAA and it ant no D2AA

that last season LA team...which was one of the best HS teams Booger personally ever saw...beats this years team 2 TD's...Dilfer at LA was a one off...and another Dilfer ant comin

Booger just sayin
