I commend those players for Hunter Lane. It is TOUGH I am sure to go out there every week and get out played in the manner that they do. They are tough IMO to stick it out and play. Much better than being out of sports all together and hanging out with the wrong crowd. Good luck Hunters Lane, I hope the program can one day get turned around.

Pretty cool gesture by one of our QB club members last Friday night. Every player for HL got a bag with a sandwich, chips, and a drink when they got on the bus after the game.  The young men should be commended for their efforts.

What a gorgeous night for football is predicted for tonight. Homecoming ,an important regional matchup, tailgating and beautiful young ladies. Nice combo for a fun filled night at Patriot Stadium . Our frosh won again this week ;  they remain undefeated. An extremely talented bunch, these guys. Though numbers are down some the overall athleticism and talent is outstanding. A nice mix and addition to last year's class, many of whom are seeing meaningful minutes and with three or four starting!!

       GO BIG RED

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
