I feel like this game will be super competitive. Milan was on a mission against Lewis Co after getting bent over by Riverside. If they carry that momentum over to next week, they'll be tough to beat.

Huntingdon has their fair share of momentum as well though, and they put some air in the ball vs Waverly. Probably the most successful passing game I've seen by a Huntingdon team. If we can keep those plays in rotation, I don't see us getting beat.

Earlier in the year Huntingdon jumped out to a 2 score lead in the blink of an eye and I feel like Milan players got frustrated quickly and lost all their discipline. I'm sure they learned something from that game. Hopefully both teams can keep their emotions in check and play a clean game.

My early guess will be Huntingdon 34 - Milan 21

I’m going to say this and you Huntingdung guys may totally disagree with me. But we got down 14-0 in the first 7 mins or so. Then for the next 40 mins we outscored you guys 14-12. Once we got calmed down and got our emotions in check we played with you guys. Yes y’all tacked on a td in the final minute to make the final score what it was but for the vast majority of that game we were right there with you. We have to be focused from the opening whistle. Keep our emotions in check and give 100% on every snap. If we do this we can win this game.

I actually agree with you. That's what makes (or should make) most Huntingdon fans nervous about this matchup. Folks will point to the beat down that Riverside put on Milan and say we handled Riverside so it shouldn't be a problem. I say not so fast! The ones who truly understand this rivalry know that Milan just plays DIFFERENT vs Huntingdon.

Reminds me kind of the Tennessee-Florida rivalry. No matter how much better we're supposed to be, if we overlook it or write it off, you're likely to sneak up and bite us. Especially this time of year. Huntington needs to come out with their foot on the pedal and don't let off.

I agree. Most if not all our mistakes the first game are correctable and I think we have yet to play our best game. If we make those adjustments and play a clean game I think it will be a close game going to fourth quarter and who knows what can happen then.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
