Macon at Upperman

Can’t remember the last time Upperman lost at home. Last time I remember was when they hosted Alcoa in the Semi’s when the refs botched the fumble call and Alcoa scored on the next play. No love lost between theses two rivals. Was told there was some nasty talk after the game in Lafayette by the losing team.

They lost to Loudon at Home in 2020 in the 2nd round if we are talking play-offs and Fayetteville won in Baxter last year during the regular season.

You forgot about Putnam Academy stomping on the Macon Logo at Midfield

Good luck to my little Border twins from Motown! I hope y’all show Upperman how to run the wingT to perfection. Macon co is a well coached team. Their coach grew up playing his first football in westmoreland and learning how to run the wingT from an early age there. Then went to learn from a genius at Oakland. Hes the best coach we have around these parts up here. It would be in westmorelands best interest to try to hire him away from the Tigers! I’m gonna say Macon wins this one in a close game

I heard about that just recently. Like I said no love lost but Upperman is just better. They beat Macon on their own field and Upperman has improved greatly since that game. Add to the fact this game is in Baxter and that equals a win for the Bees.  Upperman is on a much larger quest a state championship.

Was the nasty talk before or after the headstand at midfield by Upperman?

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
