Tom Kreager- FYI. @TSSAA Legislative Council is looking at this tomorrow.

Why does this seem like associations in NFHS collectively have been talking about this subject?

The OSSAA Board of Directors approved an exception that allows one free transfer for any high school student who has established athletic eligibility at an initial school. The student won’t have to sit out a year or move into the district. #OKPreps

Any chance this takes effect by January?

1. Roll Call...

l.  The state office has been charged by the state legislature to ask TSSAA member schools about their desire to modify the existing transfer rules of the association.

The state office asked the membership to vote for one of three options:

1) Keep the current transfer rules.

2) Provide students the opportunity to transfer one time after establishing a high school athletic record.

3) Provide students the opportunity to transfer one time after establishing a high school athletic record provided the transfer takes place before they begin their 10th grade year.

I really don't care for the direction sports are headed in, but not sure what can be done to really derail the transfers, I see coming. This might be an answer but not sure that will work either.

I think we are headed to sports moving out of the high schools. Nobody wants to pay for the schools let alone pay for others kids to play sports. Losing the school pride part will stink, but the sports will be a little better. Everybody can play right thru summer. Are there travel tennis teams?
