I know the regions change from time to time because of new schools…etc This fall is last year of current cycle? At one point HVA played against the more East TN teams outside of Knox/Blount/Chatt. (Jeff, Mo-East, DB, SH). It’s definitely a tougher region than they used to compete in each year.

No where in Knoxville nor the state of TN has what Valdosta has. That doesn’t mean that he won’t be successful. We have 2k+ kids in the building. There are athletes in the building. Hopefully he can change the culture to match that of a program like Valdosta…where the admin and community take football seriously. We certainly have the money and resources

The T$$AA put out a release a couple of weeks ago thatvthe football regions are going to stay in place for two more years.

Don't disagree with you in principal. 

That said, the same has been true for the ladt 2 coaches, too. 

I've said all along that with a school of 2K students there is no excuse not to at least be competitive in football.

When you are running the WingT, no one that isn’t a football purist is going to be excited about that. 
 

that’s why i was on board when the job was offered to Presley at Carter. Say what you want about him but they market their players and score points with the whole air raid deal. He has a brand.

 

we need that at HV and hopefully we will get one soon.

In high school you have to cater everything you do around your players. What do you have to sell them as a program? How are you going to develop them? What keeps them from moving to a successful school in town? You have to create Buy-In no matter the schemes. Some honest conversations need to be had in HV to get to the bottom of the issues. Until then likely no changes will be seen.

So are you happy with the recent hire? Who would be included in these honest conversations you are proposing?
