Well I believe they got class of 2024* Blake Heckmann  And class of 2023* Cal Grubbs mixed up in with class of 2023 Army DL commit Caleb Graham whom played both sides of the play.

Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....

Lots of 7th grade redshirttin' going on these days.

I've been around youth sports for a long time.  I've never heard parents say that they wished they hadn't "redshirted" their child.  But, I've known quite a few that wished they had...especially when their child was really young for his/her grade.

I know of some 8th graders who did it as well hence why I mentioned the other school down the road...
