So this leaves a possible game on 8/24 if they do a Saturday game like they have in recent years. 10/10 & 10/17 are also open. I think they normally leave the last game of the year before the playoffs to see which game has the most riding on it but now they have filled that with Coalfield and OS. It will most likely be for the region champ anyway though.

Anyone know any games that could be filled in these spots?

Hardin Valley hosting Morristown East for the 8/24 spot. #cantwait

I still remember the time Mark Packer was at Greenback calling a game and found a game program in the pressbox that was either 1 or 2 years old and was going off that anouncing the game until later when someone else brought it to his attention on air.

Not surprised one bit at that.

Game prep never was a strong point of his.

Last week of the regular season is on Thurs 10/31 (6A-4A-2A) and Fri 11/1 (5A-3A-1A) in 2024

Traditionally playoffs start in November so I did not know if 1st round would be on 11/1 or 11/8. I do know that any classification can play on thursday or friday in the regular season so I don't know why you have the days set up like its the bluecross games.

I doubt that game would make the cut for fudge packer. I know they played on a thursday last year but that is because Mo West and Mo East share a field. Combined total of 3-17 last year will not be appealing to fudge packer.

There are some really good games on this years tv schedule, but Mo. E. at HVA?  Yawner.  geez Packer (and I know you read this)

They hadn't cleaned their press box?  I mean, yes looks bad on Packer, but not just him...

It was funny because there was a kid in the 10th grade for Greenback and the roster he was reading for him said he was in the 8th grade. The kid was having a great game and he kept talking about if this was an eighth grader Greenback was set for the future. They were playing Coalfield if I remember  right. It was the kid that transferred and went to Virginia to play high school his senior year.

I would say their are four excellent games thus far for those of us in E. TN.

8/22: Powell at Anderson County

8/29: Loudon at Lenoir City

9/12: Greeneville at Alcoa

10/3: Maryville at Bearden

Does Scott Cummings make the Lenior City game interesting? I don't see the appeal to unaffiliated fans. Id rather see a back to back state champion Knox West team on tv than Loudon vs Lenoir City.
