It's been 10 years so I forgot. thinkin so.....thinkin he may have went out a series or two.....but Booger memory thinkin he played the next week in the Golf Ball contest.....Booger nose them tin heads sent 2 or 3 of the Irishmen to the trainer... .....two extremely physical games for the Aluminum City in a row....no doubt those 50 plus reps they gave Tyson in that ND semifinal contest in order for them to collect that W and move on played a huge part in the lost to the Presbyterians Booger just sayin

They depended too much on Jaquez Tyson. Maryville beat Alcoa that year 41-14. It could have been way worse. It was 34-0 at one time. Amazing thing about Alcoa under Rankin is they were 13 points away from Rankin going 16-0 in State Title games.

He also was the first head coach when Blackman opened their 25th year in 2024. Thomas McDaniel won a state title in 1998 as well. Take your RED, WHITE AND BLUE GLASSES off. 2023 Riverdale 25 Oakland 24--Oakland got *69'ed the 69-game home win streak was over. 2024 might be different we shall see but Kyler Creasy is the starting quarterback and Patrick Freeman is not the back-up because he is playing golf with his brother Micah. The golf ball won't sack Freeman like those linemen and linebackers will. The difference is when Rankin got to Riverdale in 1990 the furthest they had been in the playoffs was the second round and no championship game appearances. When you are 484-85 enough said first year at Smith County 0-10 so, since then he is 484-75. No doubt Creasy has had success the difference is Oakland won before he got there, and Riverdale didn't. Also, Rankin is in the NFHS Hall of Fame and Riverdale had Brayden Graham Tennessee State Gatorade Player of the Year enough said. Rankin has coached two guys that I know that played in the NFL one was a first-round draft pick in Fernando Bryant, Alabama then the NFL (Jaguars I think other teams etc.) Randall Cobb Alcoa one that Tennessee fans say was a big miss in recruiting because they never looked at him. He played 13 years in the NFL and now will be an analyst for the SEC Network this fall. Don't know how he got that gig, I'm a Kentucky fan and love him but the SEC hates Kentucky. They play week 10 on October 31st Halloween Night I think in 2024 Oakland at Riverdale Week 10 in 2024. She may want to find you some glasses to wear. You seem to forget the 56-0 thrashing that Oakland gave Riverdale during the Quarterfinals of 2023.
jneal
Yes, when they turned it over five times or whatever it was. However, Houston stopped that running game and Oakland doesn't throw it 30-40 times a game so they were toast and Kyler Creasy broke his collarbone again had to have surgery. Patrick Freeman last year's backup is playing golf with brother Micah now and won't bus to Anna, Texas in week two his words on their transportation. If he stays healthy. KC that is they have a chance to be good with Morris and TT Hill in the backfield. They have receivers but they want to pound the rock. Riverdale has to replace Brayden Graham if they do that they have tough defense so they say so we shall see.
