Oak ridge gets on to the win column this week, Oak Ridge 0-2 lost s Heartbreaker to Jeff county whose decent enough  and lost to a good Powell team to start their season. Whereas karns had coasted into some easier wins over the likes of two larger but not so great Hardin valley and William Blount with a loss to rival gibbs by 3 tds. With that in mind, I think oak ridge wins this by a good margin my predicted score for this game is

Late in the 1st quarter a kid of ours let a punt go ( near the 25-30 yard line) that he probably should’ve caught, and the ball ended up rolling all the way to our own 5 yard line, and we just never could get out of that hole, practically the rest of the game. It also didn’t help that our starting RB went out fairly early, from what seemed like some kind of disciplinary issue. When he went out he had 10 carries for 50+ yards, which isn’t shabby at all. They controlled field position after that punt we missed, and never relinquished it. Credit to their D for that. Like I said, they have some hosses on D. 
 

Another thing that surprised me was how open their receivers were all night. Every time they caught one, there was at least 10 yards between them and our closest defender. They dinked and dunked us quite a bit. The game was won by their DL, because they gave them tremendous field position all night long. Considering they held field position all night long, I thought our D did fairly decent considering what they were up against.

 I would be remiss, though, if I didn’t mention the few, really good sustained long drives their O did have. The one that put them up 28-7 was a great drive, and broke our kids’ backs, proverbially speaking.

I wonder what happened to the RB?

Most OR on here had talk about how the OL for ya’ll would be a strength. If Powell’s DL was able to dominate that does not bode well for the rest of the season. I felt like Powell’s DL was average when watching them vs AC on TV.

I had asked SS the same question, and he mentioned that Rang was asked about that post game. Apparently it was a coach's decision, so he's in the doghouse for some reason. The drop off from RB1 to RB2 was pretty significant.

Is it a transfer when a kid goes from middle school to a high school.It would be different if he went to Anderson Co.But I wish Oak Ridge got some known local transfers.Seems like we get less than the avg high school because of tuition.

It is when he was doing summer 7v7 with the plans to attend AC until an issue came up

You’re right about that, we don’t get many at all. A few weeks ago every kid was introducing themselves on the Coaches Show and there were about 4 out of 70 or so that didn’t go to Middle School in OR. We get much less than your average school in East Tennessee that is semi successful.

I fact checked your statement with the OR WR coach their freshman year and he said that neither boy ever attended any practices or summer 7v7 with AC. He said there was plenty of film of them on the Oak ridge fields for 7v7. I find your interest in those two boys pretty suspicious. I’m starting to think you’re the Norris middle school head coach Dr. Noe. That would explain why you call yourself the Sheriff seeing how you deal with Mavericks. Anyway Mr Noe, SS is correct that you don’t have the best information.

Should be a better showing this week!  Hopefully Defense has put work on their coverages and OL can help with containing the pocket.

I am not any doctor at all nor am I this Noe person. If you look at my post I always use where athletes are from when referring to transfers. 
 

Like I told Sweet, I do it to throw shade mostly at AC when I bring it up. Since nothing was done about the situation.
