SG not aggressive enough on the oline. Play calling predictable. Can be pass happy. QB sometimes holds onto the ball too long. 2 good quick running backs, as long as oline play isn’t lethargic. Defense not fast enough plugging the gaps, maybe that’s by design/maybe it’s not??
I’ll pull for SG and maybe the coaching staff and team has moved beyond winning a milk can and set their sites on getting to a championship and catch lighting in a bottle.

But until then…Tellico too strong and too fast! Look for Tellico to get the W. Tellico would also stand a better chance against Bledsoe in the 2nd RND.  Bledsoe would obliterate, and make SG cry 😢 uncle again.

Very little difference in our top 4, just different playing styles. Your Coach will be surprised when he watches last Friday nights fil

There had to be a big difference. Eagleton and Hampton were blowouts while your top two lost close games. Region 2 is just a lot stronger again this year.

Yeah was a Great game to watch. Come down to the bitter end.

Really Good game. SG kids played and fought hard the whole game.  Had a chance to go up by 2 TD’s before the half and after the half; had 2 chances to get the lead back in the 4th after Tellico had gotten the lead. The loss is not on the kids. In the last decade SG has had plenty of athletes, and especially this year to compete at a much higher level than the results being produced on the field, especially post season play. SG is a round 1 or 2 exit team in the post season as long as the Coaching staff continues doing the same thing they’ve been doing.  Next year SG again will be loaded with athletes from the seniors down to the incoming freshman class. Next years team should be even better than this years team, but most likely the end results will be same.  If the coaching staff truly wants to get to a championship and compete, then they’re gonna have to change how they approach the game and figure out what truly gives them the best opportunity and try it.

Hats off to Tellico, they were a better prepared team, and their play caller made some great offensive calls in the 2nd half to get the go ahead lead. Best wishes next week against Bledsoe. Bledsoe may very well end up in the semis or in Chattanooga.

I know alot of you up there don't like it when us Region 2 posters say it but you all in Region 1 in 1A or 2A HAVE to find a way to get off that Mountain and play some good teams win or lose!Hampton has been very competitive with region 2 and Coudland has at times. There is such a huge difference in the regions top to bottom.1A one of our worst teams beats a solid region 1 team at their place and in 2A the same thing happened.Im not busting balls just stating the obvious.Hard to change coaching styles when you haven't been in a real fight. These teams down here fight every week and most are mediocre teams at best but they have to play each other and it does prepare for the playoffs.

Our schedule had nothing to do with our season,we just didn't have the team, got some injured that hurt a little and had a couple of good skill kids who transferred out.  Those 2 would have really helped but you just have to play with the hand you are dealt with. As far as some of these other teams, they just play weak comp and get to thinking they are better than they are,Over the Years Cloudland and Hampton has done quite well with the talent they've had. Some of these teams underachieve and just don't reach the potential they should. We could and should have won a couple more games than we did but mistakes at the wrong time killed us.

Thank you Crow for the support! Tellico is making a turn for the better since the Bledsoe game. No matter how round #2 goes, future is looking bright!
