Soddy canceling a tournament last minute was because the head coach's brother died a few days earlier and that Saturday was the only day they could get as a day of celebration. The "dirty" part is that teams forfeit, don't show, or pull out" altogether against Soddy. "Teams showing up with jv all the time"? Really? In the sectionals? Why even show? After covering local high school wrestling for more than 10 years, I have never seen that. Maybe other regions do things differently. Like I said, Im presuming there was a good reason and if there is not, then its a coward move for the most important dual of any team prior to the state tournament. Once again, kudos to the Alcoa team that DID sack up and show. -

14 threw a dirty elbow at jackson. period. i have the video that was sent to me, it a pathetic, dirty elbow. . its a shame clay cant play without playing dirty. i blame the coach as much as the players, he could stop it. -

Here’s the post I was referring too…. He was ejected once so doing what again? Just because it’s on video means nothing unless the refs say anything about it. Unfortunately for you I guess they didn’t see one of the elbows at JC. So that’s a moot point! You must not watch alot of basketball because it’s showing!
